End Game — We Make Games

Today, I’m excited to finally announce End Game’s $3M seed round!
We are incredibly lucky to have such great friends support us on our journey. This includes Jay Chi, Ryann Lai, and rest of the team at Makers Fund; Jaakko Harlas and the Supercell team; Kevin Lin from Twitch; Hubert Thieblot — previously of Curse — now also at Twitch; David Helgason from Unity; Danny Epstien and Alexandre Cohen at Main Street Advisors; and Scooter Braun of SB Projects (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, J Balvin).
The Past
When we first started creating games — just me, Luke, and Jeremiah (for without whom, not much of this would be possible) in our rooms at home, we never expected it to grow into anything, especially not into this.
Before our first game, Zombs.io, we had no experience making games at all. We had no idea what we were doing – and that hasn’t really changed, haha. That’s what makes our investor’s trust in us so special, and why we’re so grateful that they want to join us on our journey towards creating more memorable experiences for everyone.
Most importantly, we feel the most gratitude towards every single person that has stopped by and played our games in the past – whether you’ve put 1,000+ hours into ZombsRoyale.io or you just simply swung by to say hi on Spinz.io. There’s been over 70,000,000 of you that have played Zombs, Spinz and Zombs Royale from over 180 countries – that’s almost all the countries! So, thank you to everyone, especially our very passionate community that I know is eagerly waiting for updates and our next games!
In 2018, Zombs Royale was launched and we became one of the Top 10 Most Googled Games! It was at this point that we said to ourselves, “Hey, maybe we can do something bigger,” while still not understanding what we were doing exactly.
It has been an incredibly fun and fulfilling journey making games that bring joy to our players’ lives. We see all the fan art, all the videos, and all the suggestions that our players make. To be able to make an experience that people dream about and want to spend more time in is a dream come true. There’s no better job than to continue serving people around the world with delightful experiences through games. We cannot wait to bring even more new experiences to you guys.
Looking Forward
In terms of what this means for the company — we will be scaling our team. We’ve had some of the most amazing team members join us in the past year, and we’ve grown so much already. We are so excited to show you guys what we have been up to.
We will continue to focus on what we believe is a huge frontier for gaming. It’s something that has been around for decades, but we feel still has so much potential. This is simply – real-time, multiplayer games.
Growing up around free-to-play games, there has been nothing that can replicate the feeling of meeting someone in a video game and simply “hanging out” in the comfort of your own home. This was stigmatized as a “nerdy” activity… but not anymore!
By real-time, multiplayer games – we mean the instinctively social core you see in certain games; this ranges from games that are as basic as Agar.io and Slither.io, to high-fidelity, highly action-packed games such as Fortnite.
Along with this multiplayer core, we will be continuing our belief in a ubiquitous gaming future. We accidentally stumbled on making Zombs Royale cross-platform (it was intended to be web only until our players asked for mobile… and then PC!). We truly believe that platform and hardware shouldn’t limit access to any form of social activity. Just as how anyone should be able to go to a coffee shop, a zoo, or a theme park. With that said, we hope to be making our games available on as many platforms and hardware as possible.
As for what you guys can expect from us next – we are launching a game titled Fate Arena soon! It will be a Strategic Online Battle Arena game, more commonly known as an “auto-battler,” or “autochess.”
It is our twist on the incredibly fun genre that you may have seen around. We hope to create a social, casual and fun experience for everyone new and experienced with the genre. The pre-registration page is now live at FateArena.io! Here are some screenshots:
But that’s not all! In addition to Fate Arena, our wonderful teams have been working on many other games that we hope to share as soon as we can. We are super excited about all of them, and hope that you guys will get to see them soon!
Thank you again to everyone who has been alongside us throughout our journey. We are incredibly grateful for all the friends, family and players that support us. We hope to make amazing games for you all!
