We refreshed this list in December 2022 to celebrate some of the best Roblox games of the year. There have been some huge releases as well as continued success for some of the platform’s most iconic games. Let’s get into it.

DOORS

DOORS is one of our favorite Roblox games of the year. It’s a survival horror game about traversing a mystery world of, you guessed it, spooky doors. It has seen massive popularity well beyond spooky season, and has been visited hundreds of millions of times.

Fruit Battlegrounds

Fruit Battlegrounds is a relatively new entry to this list, as it was released in November 2022. The game takes the formula of One Piece games (easily one of the most popular Animes to receive the Roblox game experience) and turns it on its head. You aren’t exploring and completing quests all the time, although that is still part of the game, but rather hunting for powerful Devil Fruits to use in PvP.

Race Clicker

Race Clicker is the crowning glory of the racing and clicking genre on Roblox, and there have been dozens of these games released. The premise is remarkably simple: click, gain speed, then race. The more you click, the faster you go.

If it was only that simple we’re not sure the game would’ve stayed as popular as it has done in 2022. You can also collect pets and other boosts that will improve your game, and consistent updates mean there is always some new challenge to strive for. Project Slayers

Project Slayers is another one of our favorite Roblox games of the year. This anime-inspired adventure game has you training up various characters and trying to unlock more powerful clans. Each clan has its own unique ability and playstyle which can be used against NPC enemies.

The game still receives regular updates with new clans, abilities, areas to explore, and new quests. It’s a massive game and a testament to the power of Roblox’s development engine, especially with its animations, textures, and open world size. Definitely one of the 2022 greats. Brookhaven RP

Brookhaven is one of the best Roblox games ever released on the platform. It has close to 20 billion overall visits, which makes it one of the most popular Roblox games ever, too.

The game is all about roleplaying in a virtual world alongside hundreds of thousands of other players. You can own your own home, run your own car, and interact with the world with jobs and other fun tasks.

Mining Simulator 2

Mining Simulator is back. The sequel to the original game has rocketed up the charts this year, and it has only been out for a few months. The second game takes everything players loved about the first game – the grind, the treasure, the rewards – and makes them even better.

Blox Fruits

Blox Fruits is the original Devil Fruit game, based on the popular manga, One Piece. One Piece has a massive presence on Roblox (there are loads of games based on the series) but Blox Fruits rules the roost with players and ratings.

Like other games with Devil Fruits in, the aim of Blox Fruits is to collect a variety of special abilities – this includes everything from super-jumps to flamethrowers and everything in between.

A One Piece Game

Following in the theme of Blox Fruits, we have to include A One Piece Game in our best games from this year. It’s one of the finest versions of the “One Piece Simulator” we’ve come across, and its massively high rating (over 90%!) is a testament to its success.

With regular updates, we see this as a future star on the platform.

Reaper 2

Reaper 2 has gone from strength to strength this year. It started out with just a few hundred players but has exploded to over 10,000 throughout the year! It has some great combat, well-made NPCs, and fantastic level design, and receives very regular updates.

Progress through the story, level up your character and become stronger. It’s a Roblox classic, really.

Adopt Me!

No list of the best Roblox games will ever be complete without mentioning Adopt Me! It’s one of the most popular games on the platform ever, it has spawned its own spin-off merchandise and gamemodes, and the developers even mentioned once they might develop a game entirely separately from Roblox.

The aim is simple: explore, unlock new pets, and make new friends. There are hundreds of thousands of players so you better get started soon.

Sonic Speed Simulator

Sonic Speed Simulator RACED onto the Roblox scene this year! It’s an official Sonic game in partnership with SEGA, which means players have access to all the authentic characters from the massively popular game franchise.

Race around the world, collect coins and unlock new characters and skins. It’s one of the hottest games this year.

All Star Tower Defense

There are a few great Roblox tower defense games, but All Star Tower Defense just about takes the crown for us. You could always check out Ultimate Tower Defense as well, if you want to change it up a bit. These tower defense games are great because you get to use a range of unique characters (or towers) to defeat waves of enemies, rather than just cannons and turrets.

King Legacy

King Legacy is yet another hit One Piece game (we’re not biased, we promise!) that makes use of the island-exploration mechanic as a HUGE part of the game. It reminds us a bit of Build A Boat For Treasure, except you don’t get to design your own boat. Instead, you need to head out across the Seven Seas to collect Devil Fruits and level up your character. Loads of fun.

Anime Fighters Simulator

Anime Fighters Simulator is one of the best anime fighting games available right now – there is stiff competition from games like Anime Battle Arena, but AFS is the best because it offers such a wide range of characters and has some of the smoothest combat animations out there.
