Introduction

Taking on the role of a software architect is an increasingly important task that requires profound training. The iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA®) program offers you a globally recognized, standardized education and advanced training scheme.
This is a 4 day training that ends with an exam for Certified Professional for Software Architecture, foundation level.

Detailed description

Being certified at Foundation Level, you will be able to independently create and document the architecture of a system, and to assure and evaluate its quality. You will also gain knowledge of the required tools. The training for the Foundation Level provides you with the necessary knowledge and skills to design and document software architecture for small and medium-sized systems that is appropriate to the problem.

Target audience

This training is suitable for everyone who wants to improve their software architecture skills: both for software developers and software architects, both for aspiring architects and experienced architects.

Skills acquired in this training

• The concept and meaning of software architecture,
• tasks and responsibility for you as a software architect,
• your role as a software architect in projects, and
• state-of-the-art methods and techniques for the development of software architectures
  The focus is on acquiring the following skills:
• Coordinate essential software architecture decisions with other project participants from the fields of requirements management, project management, testing, and development,
• document and communicate software architectures based on architecture patterns and technical concepts, and
• understand the essential steps in designing software architectures and carry them out independently for small and medium-sized systems.

• Day 2: Specification and communication of software architecture, design and development of software architecture
• Day 3: Design and development of software architecture, Software architecture and quality
• Day 4: Tools for software architects, examples of software architecture

Certification

This training includes an exam for Certified Professional for Software Architecture, foundation level.
The certification process is described at the iSAQB site.
One exam fee (EUR 250 ex VAT) is included in the training price.
