In-Person Grassroots License Details

($65 per student-coach + facility cost & instructor transportation if needed)
Course Length: All In-Person Classes Are Four Hours (can be two hours virtually and two hours in-person)
Prerequisite: Must complete the Introduction to Grassroots Coaching

• 11v11: Understanding basic needs of the U13+ player, structure of a Play-Practice-Play training session, and the basic tasks of a grassroots coach
• 9v9: Understanding basic needs of the U12 player, structure of a Play-Practice-Play training session, and the basic tasks of a grassroots coach
• 7v7: Understanding basic needs of the U10 player, structure of a Play-Practice-Play training session, and the basic tasks of a grassroots coach
• 4v4: Understanding basic needs of the U6/U8 player, structure of a Play-Practice-Play training session, and the basic tasks of a grassroots coach
Minimum student-coach required: 10
Club must be able to provide age appropriate team for field session work

D License Grassroots License Details

($275 per student-coach + facility cost & instructor transportation if needed)
Course Length: 16 weeks (12 weeks virtual and four Sundays in person)
Prerequisite: Must complete two in-person Grassroots Licenses and one online Grassroots License.

Objectives of the D License is to facilitate coach improvement in the Six Tasks of a Coach with an emphasis on developing the team and individual players by learning how: • to demonstrate an understanding of developmental stages & age characteristics • to observe the game, recognize formations and all player actions • to further develop a comprehensive understanding of Play-Practice-Play methodology • to organize, execute and reflect on 2 Play-Practice-Play training sessions based on the same goal in 1 week • to demonstrate an understanding of how to inform, involve and inspire parents
