Important info for Windows users: Once you download the installer zip file, it’s important to open the file OUTSIDE OF YOUR BROWSER. Navigate to the folder where you saved the zip file and extract the required files. Once that’s done, close any running Microsoft Office applications or previous versions of EndNote then run the installer, EN2021Inst.msi.

EndNote is a reference and full-text organizer that allows you to create bibliographies and format documents in a large number of output styles.

EndNote has both a desktop and online component (EndNote Online). Users should create their account from within the desktop version for full functionality, including the ability to synchronize references between desktop and online accounts and share their library with other EndNote users.
