How to install mods for Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is one of the best RPGs on the Play Store, but mods can significantly improve your experience. Mods can change or add features, so if you’re tired of playing the same farm over and over again, it’s probably time to install one. Even if you’re new to Stardew Valley, mods can fix some of the more frustrating parts of the game, improving your overall experience.

Stardew Valley is one of the easiest Android games to mod, and we’ll walk you through the entire process. The process is the same for each mod, so once you’ve installed one, repeat the steps for subsequent mods. How to install mods in Stardew Valley

Before you start installing mods, you’ll want to boot up Stardew Valley, then close it down. While installing mods will prompt a restart, it’s an essential step to ensure the game is working correctly from the start.

1. Install Stardew Valley
2. Open the game, check it’s running fine, and close it.
3. Open the App Info page by long-pressing the app icon.
4. Tap the Force Stop button.

Install and run SMAPI

Once you’ve checked your Stardew Valley installation is working, you’ll need to install a tool called SMAPI. This tool won’t change the game by itself, but mods won’t run without it. Head

The foundation of Stardew Valley mods is the SMAPI tool. This will enable all the mods you download to work seamlessly with your game.

Head to the Android SMAPI page and download the SMAPI Android Installer v3.7.6.9 APK file.

You may notice that v3.7.6.9 is not the latest version of SMAPI. Do not download the latest version of SMAPI, as it will not work with Stardew Valley.

1. Find the downloaded APK file in your phone’s Download folder. (It should be named SMAPI.Installer_v3.7.6.9.apk).
2. Tap the file to run it.
3. Confirm the file permissions and tap the Install button.
4. After the installation is complete, tap Update to complete the installation.

Now that you’ve downloaded SMAPI, tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen to start Stardew Valley and check everything is working correctly. You shouldn’t notice anything different, as you haven’t installed any mods yet. If you encounter an issue with your game, try reinstalling SMAPI.

Install a mod

SMAPI is where you will download new mods and run your modded version of Stardew Valley. The best place to download Stardew Valley mods is Nexus Mods, easily accessible within the SMAPI app.

1. Open SMAPI.
2. Open the Help tab.
3. Tap the Nexus button.
   • Tapping this button will open Nexus Mods in your phone’s browser. Here you can search, filter, and sort all the mods available for Stardew Valley. You will need to create an account to start downloading.
4. Find the mod you wish to download and tap MANUAL DOWNLOAD.
   • Many mods have different downloads for each platform. Check you have the Android download link to avoid errors.

5. Move the downloaded mod to your newly created Mods Folder (in Internal Storage/Stardew Valley/Mods).
6. Extract the zipped mod into the Mods folder.
7. Restart SMAPI.
   • Check that the mod appears in the Config tab to confirm the installation.

You can now use your mod by tapping the green arrow in SMAPI. Do not run the regular Stardew Valley app; always use the SMAPI launcher to play the game with mods.
