Since June 2022, there’s been a new subscription model in place for PlayStation; it now has several tiers costing various amounts. Sony have basically expanded PS Plus by adding two more subscription tiers: Extra and Premium. And what used to be known as PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essentials, but will remain exactly as it was.

Those who upgrade to PS Plus Extra will get 400 PS4 and PS5 games “for free”. At the Premium level, retro titles from PS1, PS2, and even PS3 are also included. The full list of games for PS Plus Extra and Premium can be found here.

But in this article, we’re talking about the classic PS Plus free monthly games that even essential users get access too. We’ll also go through predictions & leaks for upcoming months, and we’ll confirm each title as soon as we can. So, let’s get to that all important questions: what are the free PlayStation Plus games this month, and are they any good?

PS Plus in March 2023: Essential Games Lineup Revealed

At the recent PlayStation State of Play, Sony announced the lineup for upcoming PS Plus games in March. Although the selection is not exceptionally special, it includes a highlight we are particularly looking forward to. Here is everything you can get for free next month:

• Battlefield 2042 (PS5/PS4)
• Minecraft Dungeons (PS4)
• Code Vein (PS4)

Pretty wild we’re already getting Battlefield 2042 (what a shame it’s trash). But we’re excited for Code Vein. This is a post apocalypse action RPG developed by Bandai Namco. It looks pretty damn good and is a great choice for those who liked Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

You will be able to get the games from March 7 to April 4. Until then, you can still download the February games.

PS Plus Essential Games: April 2023 Prediction

So far, nothing about the next slate of PS Plus games for April has leaked. Here are our predictions on what we think could come to the service next month:

• Returnal (PS5)
• Hades (PS4, PS5)
• Tinykin (PS4, PS5)
