System Design — UML Timing Diagram
Timing diagrams are another form of interaction diagram. It focuses on timing constraints across different objects or actors, not just the relative order of messages.
Timing diagrams focus on the change in state or value of one or more objects along a linear time axis. It can show the interaction between events and the time and duration constraints that govern them.
The concept
Lifeline
It represents the life cycle of an object in the interaction.
State Timeline
It shows the continuous change of the state of an object over time.
Condition Timeline
It shows the change in condition (temperature and density) of a virus.
Duration Constraint
It represents the minimum and maximum duration interval.
Time Constraint
It represents the minimum and maximum time intervals. It is a time expression.
Destruction Occurrence
It refers to the end of a lifeline object.
