Thinkpad Fan Controller (tpfancontrol)

I am amazed that this works for my Thinkpad L590. It has been running so hot that I can’t sit with it on my lap; I actually bought a laptop cooler, which works but is clunky to move around. After I installed the tpfancontrol I actually had control over the fan and could make it turn on when needed (the first time I could actually hear the fan working). After working out the point at which the laptop got too hot, I was able to use the ini file to set the fan on at a particular temperature. Now it works like a charm. No more hot knees!
