Two megazords go at it.

It should become clear how popular the Power Rangers were at the time, as this game was ported to just about every system in existence at launch. It was one of the simpler entries in the series, but that didn’t prevent it from being a lot of fun.

At the time of its release, it was the only way to truly feel like you were controlling an episode of Power Rangers, something many fans would have dreamed of.

Power Rangers Wild Force

Megazords battle.

Since most Power Rangers games ended up primarily on handheld consoles, a lot of people may have missed out on many of them. Somehow, despite many of them having similar ideas, they all somehow stood out in different ways.

The isometric style of Wild Force might put some people off, but it’s still worth giving a shot. There are lots of levels to play through, but they will only take a skilled player about an hour to get through in total.

Power Rangers S.P.D

The Blue Rangers hurries toward the goal.

There’s a lot to love about Power Rangers S.P.D on the Game Boy Advance, so much in fact, that some people believe it’s even better than Power Rangers Ninja Storm.

Power Rangers Ninja Storm

The Yellow Ranger battles their foes.

Some people might think that a game like Power Rangers Ninja Storm would feel like more of the same side-scrolling, beat ’em up action, but it actually spices things up quite a bit. Rather than characters being pallete swaps, each playable character has their own unique abilities.

The different Rangers have different stages to play through and, of course, you have the chance to take control of Megazords in boss fights. There’s even a little switch-up from the usual Megazord combat with a kind of quick-time event mini-game.

Power Rangers: Super Legends

The Black and Red Rangers are ready for combat.

While some people had mixed feelings on Power Rangers: Super Legends, depending on the console they played on, it’s hard to deny just how much of a treat it was for fans of the series. Rather than taking control of a single team of Rangers, players could pick from a number of teams.

The story differs depending on the console, but it boils down to a bad guy, some crystals, the hall of legends, and the fate of the entire universe.

Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Fighting Edition

Two Mega Tigerzords go at it.

Most people will recognize Battle For The Grid as the best Power Rangers fighting game, but for a long time, it was Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Fighting Edition for the SNES.
