Gundam Seed Battle Destiny is a game that is on the opposite extreme from games that may get weighed down by a large number of extensive cutscenes. A tiny number of conversation sequences in the Story Mode might have gone a long way in improving the overall quality of the gameplay.

All newcomers to the entry will be greeted with an astoundingly large range of mobile suits, and victorious encounters will enable one to increase the characteristics of a particular outfit. Every single outfit has at least one upgrade available for it. It is a valuable addition but not quite as in-depth as it would have been otherwise.

Ultimately, Gundam Seed Battle Destiny is an enjoyable robot action game that is recommended for fans of the Seed series as well as anybody who has previously liked other adventures set in the same world. Gundam fans will be able to get beyond the game’s flaws, but those flaws will certainly be deal breakers for anybody who is not already a devotee of the brand.

• The camera of SEED: Battle Destiny can be very awkward to control and it can sometimes glitch out completely.
• The targeting system in SEED: Battle Destiny is very strange, as it fails to dissociate sometimes or automatically locks on without you pressing anything.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Ex Revue

Mobile Suit Gundam: Ex Revue is one of the Gundam arcade games, and it is easily the best of the bunch when compared to the original Gundam fighter. • As expected, the graphics of Ex Revue are heavily outdated and do not look very good.
• Some casual players might be turned away from Ex Revue because of the deep-fighting game mechanics.
• The character balance in Ex Revue is not the best and you might be forced to pick an overpowered character.
• There is not a huge variety of mobile suits in Ex Revue available for you to control.

SD Gundam G Generation Genesis

Gundam Versus

The gameplay of Gundam Versus is more akin to that of a beat-em-up gameplay style than it is to that of a standard duel-style game. Based on the game option you choose, you will either play as alone or in a group with one or two AI-controlled players. You will battle pre-defined rounds of foes or a squad of Gundam while playing the single-player variants of the game.

The competitive multiplayer is much more direct, focused entirely on fights between two Gundams. These fights seem more dynamic and emotional than just going up against AI opponents. Battles against other players are not only the most thrilling game to experience but also the most rewarding.

Although they possess incredible strength, Gundams are not difficult to pilot at all. Using power boosters, it is possible to fly directly upward into the air and change course, but you must regulate them carefully to prevent them from overheating.

There really are some good and bad moments that mean players will that there is a huge amount of diversity, but at times it may seem unfathomable. When you pull back on the left stick and strike your melee attack, you will sometimes throw a block that uses the Gundam’s huge shield as a defense. But for others, the identical motion might unleash a deadly assault instead of offering the safety users may expect.

Pros:

• Gundam Versus is an incredibly easy-to-access game, as it has a full western release and is available on the PS4 console.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2

The majority of the Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 gameplay video that I experienced before release was originally on the PS4. As a direct consequence of it, my already low expectations fell even more. On the other hand, I was taken aback when I saw how accurately the Mobile Suits were portrayed in the game.

There is undeniably a lot of attention that went into the architecture of each Gundam, and there is a backstory that explains it, which expands their impact in the game. This commitment to quality on some of the franchise’s most popular outfits provides the impression that the wearer is bigger than life as they stomp about the battleground.

The visuals, on the other hand, are quite unimpressive overall, and there is almost any texture to be seen whatsoever. Mostly by the standards of 2019, the image quality of the play areas and arenas is quite low, despite the fact that brawling in them is a lot of fun.

Consider there will be no single-player campaign owing to the fact that it is a multiplayer game only. This means there is no story to follow. The Mobile Suits have amazing sound design, and the impact of the suits was taken directly from the original source content. But I’ve experienced more than my fill of hiccups and problems getting the game to run smoothly.

There have been many instances of the game quitting unexpectedly or crashing when loading into a game or competition. Because I’ve had so many problems, particularly in pilot mode, I’m eager for the next one to happen.

Pros:

• Battle Operation 2 is completely free to play, allowing it to be accessible to players of all budgets.
• The mobile suits in Battle Operation 2 feel very realistic and authentic with the way they are designed.
• There is a wide variety of weapons and skills in Battle Operation 2 that you can use during combat.
• Battle Operation 2 feels incredibly rewarding because of the strategy element involved with the gameplay.
• Each mobile suit in Battle Operation 2 is fundamentally unique, as they all have different weapons and abilities.
• After you progress a bit into Battle Operation 2, you can customize your mobile suit by painting them.

Cons:

• The graphics in Battle Operation 2 are not the best, as the environments look dull and the pilot’s character model lacks details.
• It is very difficult to make a party in Battle Operation 2, as you have to invite your friends multiple times to make it work.
• The servers of Battle Operation 2 are not the best outside of Japan, as you will likely experience many lag issues in online matches.

Gundam Breaker Mobile

• Release Date: July 30th, 2019

Namco Bandai has recently created a freemium mobile game in which players may construct their own model robot and fight their way through a single-player storyline mode. Alternatively, players can test their mettle against other live pilots in the arena to see who has the best abilities.

The models of well-known Gundam robots are properly recreated on the screen of the player’s smartphone, which results in some fairly incredible visuals for a mobile game. The controls have been streamlined to provide for a more pleasant portable experience as well.

Gundam Extreme Versus Maxiboost ON

• Release Date: July 30, 2020

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON is a sophisticated and very detailed video game that offers a lot to offer players regardless of whether they are competing against anonymous players, against their friends locally, or against each other locally. It’s even a bit daunting at first, but ultimately all clicked into place, much as the title’s arena-based action does.

The most significant problem with Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON is one that the series just cannot seem to get rid of. To sum things up, the game has a pretty lot of challenges, but there isn’t a comprehensive tutorial included with it.

These games are designed to be intense; there is a high skill level and a tremendous deal of complexity to uncover; nevertheless, in the absence of a specialized tutorial, it may seem as if you have a steep hill to climb. To be honest, however, the all-new Maxi Boost Mission mode in Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON does at least make an effort to educate you on the fundamentals of the game.

You may play the game solo, which is a huge amount of fun in and of itself, or you can team up with a friend to take on more difficult tasks either via a split-screen mode or online co-op. • Extreme Vs Maxiboost ON features a multiplayer mode that is very fun to play with friends.
• The graphics do a great job of portraying the Gundams realistically while still retaining the classic anime aesthetic.

Cons:

• Extreme Vs Maxiboost ON can be a bit intimidating to learn for new players because of the steep learning curve.
• There is a severe lack of game modes and content in Extreme Vs Maxiboost ON, which might not condone its price.
• Extreme Vs Maxiboost ON does not have a tutorial mode.
• As Extreme Vs Maxiboost ON was originally made for the arcades, some features do not feel as good on the PS4 console.

New Gundam Breaker

• Release Date: 25 Sep 2018

The narrative of The New Gundam Breaker is presented in the style of a visual novel, with the primary objective being to set the stage for the battle that occurs at the conclusion of each chapter. The battles in New Gundam Breaker are set up as duels or three-on-three bouts.

Even during the course of the battle, side tasks will appear out of nowhere and must be completed to get points. You may have to eliminate a set number of AI mechs in one of the challenges, while others may have you facing off against a unique boss Gundam. The number of points you get is determined by the degree of challenge of the task, but in order to complete it, you must first complete the Major Quests.

The mission system is one of my favorites; however, some tasks may be pretty confusing to follow. Because the goals aren’t indicated on the HUD or the minimap, it’s more of a question of a chance than of any serious planning to stumble onto a goal than it is actually to find one.

Only the most basic of abilities have a pleasing visual presentation, and despite the fact that the overall performance isn’t quite on par with that of the anime, it still manages to make an excellent first experience.

It is undeniable that New Gundam Breaker merits praise for the extensive level of customization it provides, which in turn respects the overarching concept of constructing Gundams that underpins the specific world. To our great relief, graphical enhancements have also been applied to the levels.

The customizing side of putting together a Gunpla is well handled in New Gundam Breaker. Due to the fact that the game has such a significant emphasis on combat, this seems to be a significant advancement and a win-win situation for fans who were anticipating the series’ traditionally incredibly quick battles.

Pros:

• New Gundam Breaker boasts a wide variety of Mobile Suits, each with its own characteristics and abilities.

• New Gundam Breaker does not have a great sense of progression, with unlocking new parts being the only gauge.
