9 Best Free Games on Epic Game Store

Since its launch, the Epic Games Store has been a blessing for gamers due to its frequent game giveaways. Some of these free titles are a limited-time giveaway, but some are perpetually free titles on this list.

Epic Games Store has gained massive popularity considering it was just launched in 2018 and had to compete with industry leaders like Steam and GOG. While cheaper price tags and quickly expanding game libraries are significant reasons behind this growth, we cannot ignore the game giveaways that have astronomically contributed to the store’s success. No other store has ever given away precious titles like GTA V, Tomb Raider Trilogy, and Hitman but the Epic Games Store.

Free games on Epic Store fall under one of the two categories: free for a limited time (mainly for a week) and the others that stay free permanently. The time-limited free games are a part of Epic Store’s weekly giveaway, in which the store offers a paid title for free during the given week. Epic Games Store has managed to continue this weekly giveaway since 2019 and is still giving away games to increase customer acquisition.

Epic Games Store is one of the most popular game stores in the business and holds more than a thousand titles in its library. While most of these games come with a price tag, we have compiled some of the best free ones too.

We have all played Pinball 3D on Windows XP as a fun time killer, but the Pinball genre is mainly unexplored. Not many game developers have experimented with the original Pinball theme, and the space has been stagnant. Demon’s Tilt is the same old Pinball game but on steroids! This game has one of the most intense pinball tables video pinball has ever witnessed, comprising various realistic and supernatural elements.

The game takes a deep dive into various mental health issues that persist and builds a beautiful story around the same. Each level in the game is just the therapy session recordings of different patients from the protagonist’s history. The game is slightly more demanding than the previous mention and requires a minimum of 8GB RAM and 20GB disk space to run. Moreover, you will need at least a GeForce GTX 960/ AMD Radeon R9 280 or above to play the game.

Dauntless

There are games with beautiful storylines like the ones from the GTA franchise, and then there are games that land you straight to the battlefield. Dauntless is a classic example of the second type; you are either enormous slaying monsters throughout the gameplay or customizing your weapons from the rewards you gain by killing those monsters. Coming to the gameplay, Dauntless features some of the most exciting fight scenes between the protagonist and the giant villains. Additionally, you can witness some of the most unique and rewarding action sequences during your entire journey. Dauntless comes with a Hunt Pass system of progression, similar to PUBG’s Royale Pass. You can further upgrade the free Hunt Pass and get more by completing daily challenges.
