95 Monopoly Special Editions For The Board Game Aficionado | ‘Nuff Yet?

The game Monopoly has been around since 1903 and started out as a simple game to demonstrate political economist Henry George’s single tax theory. It was Elizabeth Magie, an anti-monopolist, who created the game and patented it under the name The Landlord’s Game. In 1906, a variety of board games were created based on Magie’s creation, and she again patented the game in 1923.

Fast forward to a few years later when the Parker Brothers bought Magie’s patent. The game was renamed Monopoly and was further developed into the game that we all know and love today.

Throughout the years, there have been several versions of Monopoly that have been released. In addition, hundreds of themed Monopoly games have also been released, much to the delight of enthusiasts who love the game or just simply want to collect one-of-a-kind Monopoly games.
