Getting started with ActivInspire

ActiveInspire is the software you will use with the Promethean ActivBoard.
ActivInspire provides you with the tools you will need to create flipcharts
(think of a flipchart as being an interactive powerpoint) and interact with
other digital resources.

ActivInspire comes with hundreds of free resources to enhance your presentations.
Promethean Planet also features additional
resources, including teacher-made flipcharts and lessons, as well as tutorials and online
classes to help familiarize yourself with ActivInspire and other ActivClassroom tools.
To access Promethean Planet’s countless resources, visit their
website and create a free
account.

After creating an account, you may download the ActivInspire software from Promethean Planet. However, I recommend visiting the Promethean User Wizard created by Its All About Kids (IAAK) and following their online instructions for downloading and getting started with ActivInspire.

Note: Once you’ve completed installing ActivInspire, click on the ActivInspire icon on
your desktop and open the program. The Promethean License Agreement box will pop-up and
require that you enter your User Name (same username you used to create your
Promethean Planet account), your Organization: UHM HSHK, and the
Serial Number for the ActivBoard. To get the serial number for the ActivBoards
located at Kamakakuokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, contact Shavonn Matsuda ([email protected]).
