Among Us is an online, cross-platform, social deduction game with a space-themed setting. Each player is a crew member that looks like a colorful, armless cartoon astronaut. The game is designed for 4-15 players, though an ideal number would be five at least.

Your goal, as one of the players, is to reveal the identity of the impostors and prevent them from carrying out their sinister plan or completing all the tasks around the map. Overview of Among Us

The gameplay in Among Us is an interactive collaboration between the players, where the primary mission is to complete the tasks in each round or to vote out the impostors who are bent on sabotaging the mission. You can play the role of an engineer, a shapeshifter, a scientist, or a guardian angel protecting the remaining crew. Each round in the game takes place on one of four maps. The maps are the main gameplay environments. These are:

• “The Skeld”, a spaceship.
• The headquarters building, called “MIRA HQ”.
• A planet base called “Polus”.
• “The Airship”, which is an airship based on Innersloth’s Henry Stickmin series.

Each map is made up of many different locations and hallways connecting them. The locations contain different tasks and abilities. As a player, you are one of the Crewmates, and must team up with the others to complete the mission. The goal of the Impostors, on the other hand, is to covertly sabotage your mission either by killing you and your other Crewmates (up to the point that they’re equal in number as the Crewmates) before you can complete all the tasks or by setting off a disaster that cannot be resolved.

Before the start of the game, tasks are assigned to the Crewmates, which they must complete around the map. Impostors, too, are given a fake list of tasks that allow them to blend in with Crewmates. However, they cannot legitimately perform tasks, so they have to pretend to be working in order to blend in. They are a big threat and must be eliminated before it’s too late.

• They close doors to rooms in the ship to trap Crewmates and kill them in private.
