Commercial and Digital Art / Program Overview

Have you ever questioned why the Hamburger Helper character has four fingers, not five?

Looked at an advertisement and asked “What are they selling?” 

In this program your keen eye for detail and your love of graphic arts will be integral as you create commercial designs.  This is not an “art” class where you will draw and paint.  You will work with industry-recognized software and create original graphic designs.

Industry Certifications to Earn:

• Adobe Photoshop

• Adobe InDesign

• Adobe Illustrator

Students are often commissioned to take on a variety of design projects in the community.  See our students’ work at the Stavros Center and the City of Seminole sign.

Participation in Skills USA student organization and competition is available and encouraged.

Graduates can consider employment in commercial design, marketing, and advertising.  In addition to all of the industry certifications, you will leave Tech High with a comprehensive portfolio.
