Cryptocurrency Faucets-Legit or scam? — Hive

If you’ve been paying attention to the crypto world at all lately, you’ve probably heard the term “faucet”. What the heck is a faucet anyway? Is it a scam? Is it real? Can I really get free crypto at said faucets? How do I know I can trust the site? Do they mean faucet, like a water faucet? Does this mean the crypto flows freely out of these websites like water out of a faucet? Because that would be awesome.

I decided the best way to answer my questions about these faucets was to take the plunge and sign up for a few of them myself. After doing a little research, I settled on the Mooncoin sites, as well as Bitfun and Freebitco.in because they all cashed out rather quickly to the same wallet, Coinpot.co. And guess what? They are real! And it’s super easy! Although the amount of crypto that you receive is super small, with steady, consistent withdrawals, you can build up a nice balance of crypto…all for free!

Here are the steps for getting FREE cryptocurrency:

  1. set up your Coinpot wallet
  2. set up your free faucet accounts
  3. claim your free crypto currency to your wallet at least once every day to build your bonuses and grow your balances quickly!
  4. smile about free crypto!

The key to building your balances quickly are in the bonuses.
DAILY BONUS Every day that you make at least one claim, your daily bonus will increase by 1% up to a max of 100% so you will soon be doubling your claim.
REFERRAL BONUS Each site has a different referral commission ranging from 25% to 50% of your referral’s commissions, plus an extra 1% on each of your own claims per referral.
OFFER BONUS you can increase your claim rewards by completing offers on the site. Personally, I don’t do these but that doesn’t mean you might not want to participate in them.
MYSTERY BONUS This is my favorite bonus. Sometimes it’s 1% and sometimes it’s 99%. It’s worth it to claim your rewards more often for the chance of collecting a large mystery bonus.

Bitfun.co is a faucet site with games so if you enjoy playing games, this one is good for you. Just having the window open in your browser will earn you satoshis. The bonuses on this site, other than a 50% referral bonus, are dice game multipliers and offers.

FreeBitco.in is the last faucet site I tried. Here you can roll the dice once per hour for anywhere from 17 to 1.7 million satoshis. This site also has offers and multipliers to help you increase your balance quickly.

So that’s that. These things are legit! Any of these that I recommend require no investment upfront and no information other than your email address to get started. There are plenty of other faucet sites, but I’m sure some of them are scams so please do your research before giving away any money or personal info. Have you tried any of these sites or do you have better ones you recommend? Let me know in the comments!
