Funny Games (1997)

WTF did I just watch???
It’s a movie that exists to troll its audience. I don’t enjoy that feeling but I respect Michael Haneke for his balls and execution.
It’s as if the protagonists and the antagonists are living in separate movies, which is intentional. You are watching a manufactured evil meet a real family and the joke is on you for caring about them. I hate it. I mean I love it, but I hate it. It’s great, but never again.
I went in blind. Someone told me it was scary, I knew nothing else. I just feel hurt right now. I have a feeling I will be thinking about this movie for a while, but for now I just want it to leave my head so I can have peaceful dreams.
She shouldda gone for the remote, not the gun.
