Graduates awarded top honours at TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2022

BA (Hons) Games Art and Design graduates Harry Sofokleous and Oliver Ward have won Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year, with graduates Tiril Schjerven and Jan Karmański being awarded runner-up TIGA Graduate of the Year.

Graduating from BA (Hons) Games Art and Design course in 2022, the award for Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Designer has been awarded to graduate Harry Sofokleous, while graduate Oliver Ward has picked up the award in the Artist category. 

Also shortlisted in these categories, graduates Tiril Schjerven and Jan Karmański have received the accolade TIGA Graduate of the Year as runners-up. 

TIGA is one of the most extensive networks for game developers and digital publishers, representing and championing the games and media industry. Their annual TIGA UK Games Education awards recognise exceptional talent from across the games industry, giving the education sector the chance to nominate students in various categories for Graduate of the year.   

Earlier this year, 77 graduates were chosen by The TIGA Education Committee judges to be awarded the accolade TIGA Graduate of the Year, with overall winners awarded the highest honour of “Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year”. 

Norwich University of the Arts has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2022, with winning institutions being announced later this year.
