Best game, only used for custom game 🙂

This is probably the best game ever since it’s titled Game of The Year, after all, anyways I’m using this version only for custom games since playing Half-Life WON in the newer version (1.1.1.2) has destroyed some nostalgia, I also recommend reading this before reading below. If your game exits to the desktop that’s probably due to compatibility issues, try using VirtualBox using the Windows 98 version, If you play in fullscreen the game will not exit to the desktop (this is probably because in the Windows 10 version the resolution gets stretched)
1. The old WON viewbobbing is gone
2. The Viewroll is also gone, but I’m pretty sure it was still in the game before 1.1.X.X so I don’t know
3. There is a bhop restriction so I can’t go over 544 speed (I think that is the restriction) anyways moving on
4. The crowbar is weaker since they nerfed it (This is true because I tested it out and it killed headcrabs in 1 hit in the very first version whereas in the newer one it takes 2 hits)
5. The MP5 is obviously slower in the newer one and way faster in the older one, for Me, it sounds like a heavy machine gun in the newer one and an actual SMG in the older one

anyways this guy said the game has uGlY huD and hoRRibLe reSoLutIon……… It’s a 1998’s game buddy, How would the VALVe devs add a so-called hD reSoLutIon? + You would probably have a CRT 1024*768 monitor.

Works pretty well! But I have one question…

Does this run on Linux operating systems? I have not used it on my Linux laptop yet but I just want to make sure it actually works.
Also, the game on Windows runs very well, and it seems to run smoother than other games. But there is one problem, Team Fortress Classic does not work and crashes the game.
But overall, best experience yet!

This works! …in a way…

I’m going to give my dad this for fathers day (so he can relive some memories). I tested it out on my own, entered the product key on the original copy my dad owned, messed with the video and everything from that. Audio works fine, and textures look great! 4:3 is locked but editing hex values fixes that. (Still long loading screens even though its running on more powerful hardware.) Buut, it seems TF Classic does not work, or anything else but half life at all. Its fine, just a bit bugged.

If those two aforementioned things are all fixed, I will reconsider downloading this again.

Quite frankly, I am reluctant to call this a lazy archive move even though I know full well on how much effort it takes to do so when it comes to archive games in order to rescue them whatever bad happens to them. But long story short, I am a bit disappointed with this archive because, it doesn’t come with a crack to bypass the serial CD code and then play the game. Make your own crack, or just locate one of the cracks online for the game and then insert it into the archive.Additionally, the game doesn’t have the music since the music file is missing for some reason after installing the game itself. This is Half-Life v1.1.0.8 . CD installs ok on Win7 but unfortunately when attempting to start, the game asks for your CD-Key. If not entered correctly, the game will NOT start.
