Not all students are licensed for Microsoft Project, please check with your instructor to determine if Project is required for your coursework.
Microsoft Project Web App is a robust Web application that you can use to do everything from analyzing portfolios and managing proposals, to entering time in a timesheet and updating task status.
The desktop version can be installed by following the instructions below.
1. Here you can download Microsoft Project from the Office 365 portal. Please make sure you are viewing the Apps & Devices tab show below.
2. Depending on your browser, select Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).
If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes.
The install begins
3. Your install is finished when you see the phrase, “You’re all set! Project is installed now” and an animation plays to show you where to find the Project app on your computer.
Follow the instructions in the window to find Project, for example depending on your version of Windows, select Start and then scroll to find Project from your list of apps.
Important Information about Mac OS.
Microsoft Project software will run only under a Windows Operating System. While the university fully supplies the Microsoft Project software to you, you are responsible for ensuring your access to the Windows OS. You may accomplish that access by using a Windows PC for your Microsoft Project work. If you use your Mac computer, you must, at your own expense, obtain and install the Windows OS on your Mac and dual-boot. Information related to ‘Bootcamp’ can be found here. There are several other methods described in the link below, but regardless, you need to buy Windows.
