Why Early Access?
“Early Access gives us the best idea of how the community is enjoying what we are adding to the game and allows us to find gameplay issues we may miss ourselves during testing. It’s a goofy game and we want it to be fun for the player. By placing it into Early Access before release, we can gauge which features are best to add or remove and find gameplay issues on a larger scale. We would like to use any feedback during the duration of Early Access to improve the quality of the game as much as we can. There are a lot of features that will be added over the next couple months and we are hoping that by using Early Access these features will be seen and used by the community so that we can see if they work correctly and find out if they are necessary or if the players feel they don’t add to the game. Early Access is a great program for discovering what is broken and what is needed to bring you the best game possible.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We estimate 6-9 months of Early Access development before full release.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The full version of the game is planned to allow the player to not only acquire money through begging and discovery, but also through odd jobs, stealing, robbing and busking. Weather is intended to play a role in keeping alive and healthy, food will be able to be purchased and cooked, and drugs will be available. We also plan to add an apartment that the player is able to purchase and furnish once they have the funds to do so.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Currently the player is able to live out a full day and night cycle as a hobo, purchase essential items and alcohol from the store, and get sent to jail for being a nuisance.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price will increase upon release.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“We will be keeping an eye on the Steam discussion boards as well as the comments on our blog to deal with any issues that may come up during the development process.”
