How do you upload to Youtube without losing quality?
Hi everyone!
I’m completely new to TouchDesigner and I’ve been trying to upload my TD vids to Youtube. I’m using the non-commercial version of TD and while the render on my computer is absolutely perfect, the quality on Youtube (and Vimeo) is really bad. I’ve tried several different settings, but nothing seems to work. I’ve seen dozen of HD videos from TouchDesigner artists on Youtube and Vimeo, so I know it’s possible, but I just can’t figure out how it’s done. So far, I’ve exported the project in the highest Mpeg quality format, with 30 fps. Is there something in particular I need to adjust/think of when I export from TouchDesigner? What would you recommend as the best way to export from TD to Youtube (or Vimeo)?
Last thing, still related to the quality issue, I also tried to add a video in the background of the geometry, but the result on Youtube got so bad that I just had to give up…how do you make that work?..
Thanks for any help with this, and let me know if you need more details/info!
Here’s the geometry that I’ve been trying to get up on Youtube (the lines are way more blurrier than on my pc, and at 00:33 the quality is just poor, pixelating a lot):
