This is by far, the best smartphone I’ve ever had!

This is a long story: (Read if you want) – Overall rating 10/10 phone!

Some backstory:
I bought my V50 from Verizon back in 2018, I had heavily used the device for well over two years. Even though I don’t use it as my ‘daily’ anymore, it still works fine for the most part. (All things considered.) -For context: My device had a tempered glass screen protector as well as a rubber case. (It was a cheap case, but it served its purpose.)-

The Story:
My device was accidentally left on the top of my car. I was getting up to speed on the highway, already going about 55 mph, then I saw it fly off the back of my car in my rear view mirror. (After it fell, I was mortified, I genuinely thought there was no way it could’ve survived that fall, let alone been able to survive getting run over by multiple cars.) To my surprise; it survived, still turns on, and I’m still able to use it today; However, it has a damaged oled screen with a bunch of glitchy lines in the center as well as damaged back glass.

–Despite all the damage to the screen and cosmetics, every single feature including the fingerprint reader, headphone jack, wireless charging, and NFC, ALL STILL WORK!–

This device is 100% the reason why I’m so disappointed that LG stopped making smartphones. Sure, they didn’t advertise their phones that much nor did they seem to fully compete with other major brands. But between the build quality, the amazing hardware and specs, THE HEADPHONE JACK -with- Hi-Fi quad dac, all the tools and features packed into the os, and most importantly: the durability, stability, and reliability of this device; is 100% why I wish LG would start making smartphones again. It has been such an amazing device and has served me so well over the years! It is for these same reasons that I highly recommend this device and LG as a whole.

My precious LG V50

This is a brief review of my overall experience using LG phones, and some comparison with a few other brands I tried along the way. I bought the first Sprint LG V50 2 years ago, and I found it to be best in size and features. What mattered the most was the ability to play HQ music. The phone was also affordable. I would not go into cameras performance, because for me the best pictures are taken with DSLR cameras. The pictures I’ve been taking are for utilitarian purposes. I’m not a heavy phone user, and rarely go online on the phones, since no phone can compare to a traditional computer. I am really accustomed to the LG’s UI, since this is not my first LG phone. I started with V20, then V30, this V50 and then V60. I even bought a V40 and a G8X on eBay, but returned them since these had been compromised by being opened, parts changed, then sold as new. Buyers of LGs, look closely at the edges of so called “new” phones. For me, no more LG phones is a great loss. I’ve tried Samsung S10e, Google Pixel 3a, iPhone XS, but none gave me the level of comfort the V50 did. While my first smart phone was the also great for music HTC One – now outdated – the V50 is my most precious phone to date.
Was everything fine? Up to a point, yes. When carriers moved to VoLTE, the Sprint LG V50 was missing one required frequency, and therefore was no longer compatible to that particular network. So I bought a Verizon LG V50 on eBay last year. It works, but it is one of those compromised phones, sold as new after being refurbished. I was able to update it to Android 12, but since weird people messed with it I’m not comfortable using it. By the time I opened it, it was to late to return it.
From reading reviews and watching videos about the LG phones, and I found out there are more people like me who will miss this particular line of phones made by LG. It was good while it lasted.
To clarify, I did not receive any phone for free, or some promotion.

Worst texting phone EVER!!!!

So frustrating trying to text with this piece o junk, the phone constantly changes legit spellings and words and installs whatever IT thinks should go there, misspell a word and it does nothing to correct it, spell a word right and the phone changes it to a totally different word!! I also dropped my phone and despite the overly expensive otter case the screen cracked in 3 different places! If you like to text, this phone is NOT for you.
