Common questions

How can I prevent Outlook from adding a Teams link to my scheduled meetings?

In your Outlook client, go to Settings > Options and uncheck Add online meeting to all meetings.

Will I still be able to use Zoom for video conferencing?

UB has no current plans to retire Zoom and will continue to offer it for UB students, faculty and staff for the foreseeable future.

Do I keep control of my documents with Microsoft 365?

Yes. Documents that you have created belong fully to you. You can choose to store them online on OneDrive or locally on your PC or Mac.

Can I store restricted data in OneDrive, Teams, or any Microsoft 365 application?

How do I close a personal account?

I’m graduating. Do I get to keep OneDrive and Microsoft 365?

You may keep your UBmail account, but not OneDrive or MS 365 apps. Learn how to take your files with you when you graduate >

Is Microsoft Project included?

Microsoft Project can be used to view Project files only. It cannot be used to create or edit Project files.
