My QuickTime movie doesn’t play in Office for Windows – Microsoft Support

Cause: QuickTime movies don’t play in some versions of Office for Windows

Solution:    Add the QuickTime Player to the Windows-based computer

The 32-bit version of PowerPoint 2010 can only play an .mp4 or .mov file if the computer has a QuickTime Player installed. Download QuickTime for Windows from the Apple site.

Solution:    Use a common movie format

If you want to insert a movie in an Office for Mac file, such as document, worksheet, or presentation, or attach a movie to an email message and then play the movie in Office for Windows, use a common movie format, such as MPEG 2, MPEG 4, or AVI.
