Reddit – Dive into anything

I’m a little stuck here and could use some advice. We want to block access to file sharing sites like dropbox on Azure AD joined devices. we have the proper licensing for Defender ATP and I have gone into the Defender Security Center dashboard > Indicators > URLs/Domains and created Alert and Block items for the domain I’m testing with.

I’ve also confirmed that under General > Advanced Features all the settings are on including Azre ATP Integration, Web Content Filtering, and custom network indicators, I also have the network filtering/protection enabled on each device within the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center.

Whats happening is say I block www.dropbox.com Edge will block the page with the big red block smartscreen message and create an alert. Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox will allow access to the page but will generate the alerts as well. (have tried installing the Defender ATP Chrome Extension but it didn’t make a difference.)

Is what I’m trying to do possible with Just Microsoft Cloud Services? and if not how would you recommend do this for users that are working just from an Azure AD joined laptop and remote locations?

Thank you in advance for any assistance

EDIT: Just opened a ticket with Microsoft’s Support. I’ll update with the findings.
