Seal Cards: Qualified Electronic Seals

Product details

The Qualified Seal with the Seal Card

The seal card is used to generate the qualified electronic seal. Legally secure and with high evidentiary value according to eIDAS, it ensures the origin and integrity of electronic documents and proves that they originate from a specific legal entity.

D-Trust offers the seal card in two versions:

The D-Trust Card Standard seal is used when documents are to be digitally sealed individually. The standard card is used directly at the workstation. A card reader and suitable software are required.

If you want to seal many documents quickly and digitally, use the D-Trust Card Multi seal. The D-Trust Card Multi seal enables automated sealing processes with up to 21,000 seals per hour.

The Qualified Seal in the Application

The qualified electronic seal replaces the company stamp or the official seal and is particularly suitable for issuing in mass applications. For example, this includes notarisations, certificates or electronic notifications. However, it is also used for securing integration and preserving the value of evidence in the area of substitute scanning for electronic archives or incoming mail.

For some processes, a qualified electronic seal is required by law, such as in e-tendering or for substitute scanning in accordance with “Technical Guideline 03138 Substitute Scanning” (TR RESISCAN) of the German Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, BSI). The qualified seal is also required when registering companies in the European Product Database for Energy Labelling (EPREL database).
