Software for modifying settings?
Downloads of the TS are easy to find and install, and TS loader was easy to stick in the folder and get working. It’s the cable drivers (or launchers/key generators) that seem to trip folks up.
Update, with the download I had of the VV18.00.008, I did not see a Customize button. I installed a V17.30.011 free download, and it has the Customize button and several other additional options. The button brings up a Customize screen, but when I select an option and hit the green arrow I get a brief flash of a “S601-31” window and nothing loads.
I have yet to find a “Mini VCI for Toyota” driver that doesn’t set off Windows and anti-virus before I get it loaded, so at present I am selecting “J2534 Mongoose Pro” from the VIM select, and while this seems to do other functions OK, it may not be ideal for my generic older cable. There’s lots of posts stating there are false positives on these driver downloads, but it’s hard to ignore the warnings when Windows even balks at extracting the .zip or .rar, so I’ve not tried many of them. Add to that lots of the drivers or installers are old 32bit, and there’s lots of discussion and frustration over the years with getting cables up and running.
