SoftwareSerial on QTPY ESP32-S3 – adafruit industries

I’m trying to get SoftwareSerial working on the ESP32-S3 QT Py. I’m able to open a serial connection using MO and MI (GPIO35 & GPIO37). The ESP32 SoftwareSerial library didn’t give me an error so it thinks those pins are ok.
The ESP SoftwareSerial example uses digital pins 12 and 13. Do the numbers indicate the GPIO pin numbers GPIO12 and GPIO13? That’s what I thought which is why I tried 35 and 37.
I tried asking chatgpt but it doesn’t think you can use SoftwareSerial with that board. To be fair, I don’t think it understands that board at all since it keeps telling me to use pins that don’t exist in the pinout. It’s like those guys that can’t admit it doesn’t know something so it keeps acting like it does.
Anyway, the main question is, what pins can I use for SoftwareSerial and what pin numbers do I use in the program to refer to those pins?
