The Role:
As the Sr. RF Design Validation Engineer, the individual will be responsible for driving all RF hardware Tests through ATP and QTP test cycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF hardware and be conversant in typical RF performance metrics, such as EVM, ACLR, reference sensitivity, Intermodulation Distortion, Spectrum Emissions Masks, be able to help guide designs through the qualification process, and also have experience for qualification tests such as EMI, HALT, Thermal, Vibe, Radiation, etc.

Key job responsibilities

  • Align with engineering stakeholders on test campaigns –e.g., EMC, radiation, TVAC, etc.
  • Write ATP and QTP Test Procedures for RF hardware
  • Manage and track hardware and ensure test samples are prepared.
  • Work together with test automation software lead to ensure test plan coverage is complete and ready.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure testing is scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
  • Assess any failures and determine next steps. Engage proper stakeholders for resolution.
  • Compile and disseminate test reports.
  • Work with regulators where necessary to demonstrate compliance.
  • Work with outside labs when necessary for executing testing.
