Steam is giving away two games completely free right now

We all need a boost on a Monday morning so allow me to offer you that boost in the form of two free games. That’s right. Steam is giving away two free titles right now so if you’re a PC gamer, stay tuned for details on how you can get your hands on those.

If you ask me, free games can be both a blessing and a curse. The blessing part feels obvious. Who doesn’t love free stuff? As for why free games are cursed, my backlog never seems to lessen. It’s just a never ending tower of titles that keeps on growing. I would say that I’ll successfully work through it one day but in all honesty, I’m not sure that’s true. If you’re like me though and are looking to stack a couple extra games on top, you can now download Figment and Black Desert from Steam.

PlayStation Plus extra and premium tier subscribers can now download the incredible Horizon Forbidden West. This is the best-looking game out there.

As reported by ComicBook, you have until 9 March to download Figment and Black Desert so don’t hesitate if either of these titles prove to be up your alley. It’s also worth pointing out that these are full releases. They’re not free trials or demos – you get the whole thing, which is always a good thing to clarify. So, what are both games about I hear ye ask?

Created by Bedtime Digital Games, 2017’s Figment is an action-adventure game set ‘in the recesses of the human mind.’ Essentially, you’ll traverse and fight your way through the fantastical inner-workings of the mind in order to restore lost courage. Upon release, the game garnered a score of 77 on Metacritic, plus Figment 2: Creed Valley is set to release on Steam on 9 March so there really is no better time to catch up on the series.

Next up, we have Black Desert. Created by Pearl Abyss, Black Desert is an MMORPG released back in 2017. Boasting over 20 million ‘adventurers,’ the game is a high fantasy revolving around the two warring nations, the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia. The game has a score of 73 over on Metacritic which, again, is respectable. If either game sounds interesting, go get downloading.
