Systems Engineering Software Overview
Mục lục bài viết
In modern systems development, software has become increasingly important and pervasive.
In a recent CNBC interview, Don Butler, Executive Director of connected vehicles at Ford Motor Corp. stated “we need to adopt more and more of a mindset of a software/services company.” Some analysts suggest that as much as 70% of the effort in building modern systems is software development. Given the move to allocate system functionality to software is essential for systems engineers to understand how that software is being developed. This course offers an overview of the processes and procedures used in the software development lifecycle and their associated tools and techniques. Students will also gain knowledge of estimating, metrics, and process improvement iniatives.
Course Highlights:
- Software process and procedures
- Software programming languages
- Software lifecycles (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
- Software analysis and design technologies
- Software metrics
- Software estimating
- Software development planning
- Software modeling
- Software verification and validation
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of how software development impacts system development
- Identify the points where system models interface with software models
Course Typically Offered: Online in Fall and Spring quarters.
