Xiaomi has had a busy time of upgrading the Redmi and Redmi Note series, of late. While the company has held back MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 8 because of an over-the-air (OTA) issue, it has seeded a new update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Now, it is the turn of the global version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro to receive MIUI 12, with the Russian, Indonesian and Turkish editions already having been upgraded to Xiaomi’s latest OS.

The global variant has started receiving V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM, and will arrive as an OTA for eligible handsets. However, the eligibility pool may be quite small for the next few days while V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM passes through Xiaomi’s Beta Stable testing stage. In short, this means Xiaomi is testing V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM on a select number of devices before it expands the rollout and lifts any restrictions.

According to Adimorah Blog, V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM not only brings MIUI 12, but brings optimised system performance and improved system security. If you fancy trying V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM on your device or downloading it manually, then you can grab the recovery ROM or OTA files via the links below. Please note that you may not be able to flash it while V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM remains in Beta Stable testing.
