WordWall Challenge Games

A word wall is a tool for increasing reading fluency. Here we take that premise and make it a hands-on, interactive experience! Cards come in 4 levels of challenge (100 cards each. In each level, there are 50 cards with word beginnings and 50 with word endings. The cards look like bricks and it is your job to create whole words and build a wall. Players take turns playing their cards and building the wall. Instructions are easy to follow. Playing games, in general, is a way to see if your child/student can take what they have learned in the lesson and apply it outside of the lesson. Players write all of the words they have completed on their score sheet. Game ends when the chosen time allotment is up or you read your word goal set at the beginning. Grow vocabulary, practice spelling, work on specific skills like blends and compound words! A score sheet pad is only included with Blends & Digraphs. Don’t fret, regular paper works just fine. ~Sara
