Yandere Simulator/How to install

Note: illustrations for the instructions will be uploaded later.

Please keep in mind that:

• You cannot install Yandere Simulator on Android or iOS. There are some similar-looking apps in Google Play and App Store, but those are fakes and have nothing to do with Yandere Simulator and its developer. The only thing they share are the same characters models.
• If your computer is weak, the game may run poorly or refuse to start at all.
  • You can try choosing the lowest graphic settings on the start screen and in phone to increase the game performance. You should also close all other apps, especially browsers and messengers.
• Current builds of the game are demo builds. It means that some features are not implemented yet, the game is not polished and receives regular updates.
• Even though it doesn’t contain any pornographic content, Yandere Simulator is not appropriate for children.

Methods

There are two ways of installing Yandere Simulator:

• Installing it with the game launcher.
• Downloading and extracting the archive with the game’s files directly.

You may need an additional software to extract an archive in both cases. If you don’t see “extract” option when you right click on the archive, you need to download an archiver, such as WinRAR or 7zip. You can find installment instructions for those programs in web.

Launcher

Please note that launcher was developed by another developer and sometimes may work unstable. If you have any issues with it, try downloading the archive with the game files directly.

1. Go to the https://yanderesimulator.com/download/ and click “Download Launcher” link.
2. After downloading the archive, right click on it and choose “Extract to YandereSimLauncher“.
3. Go to the new YandereSimLauncher folder and run YandereSimLauncher.exe. Windows may give you a warning about unknown publisher; it does not mean it’s a virus, just make sure that you’ve downloaded it from the official website. To download the game, press the “Download” button, and “Play” to run it.
4. To update the game, simply run launcher and press “Update” button.

The launcher downloads and extracts the game to the same folder it’s placed. If you want to delete the game, delete the launcher folder.

There may be some issues when using the launcher:

1. The launcher doesn’t download the game and gives “Mega.nz” error message instead.
   1. This may mean that Mega.nz is overloaded or your internet is too slow.
   2. Sometimes, the download speed itself from Mega.nz specifically may be slow.
   3. Same applies if the download process stopped at some point.
2. The launcher says “Install” every time you run it.
   1. By default, the launcher downloads the game to the same folder it works from. This may mean that the game files were moved somewhere else or corrupted.

Archive

You can download the archive from several sites that are listed on the developer’s blog. The last update date is also listed there.

• If you’re downloading the game directly from the blog or from MediaFire, just wait until the archive is downloaded.
• If you’re downloading from Mega, do not close the tab until the downloading process is finished.

After that, the YandereSimulator.zip or latest.zip file will appear. Right click on this file and choose “Exract to YandereSimulator” option.

After extracting the archive, go to that folder and run YandereSimulator.exe to start the game. You can also right click the file and choose “Create Shortcut” to place it in any place you want (for example, desktop or control panel) without having to move all the game’s files.

To update the game, delete the old version and repeat the same process described above.

Old versions of the game

At the bottom of the download page on the developer’s blog, there is a link to several old builds archives. Those are kept by the fans of the game and may not content every single version released.

The process of installation is the same as installing the game from archive.
