AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Mid-Range Laptop CPU – Laptop Processors

The AMD Ryzen 5 3500U is a mid-range processor for the mainstream-class laptop computers. With its four cores and a maximal clock speed of 3.7 GHz, the Ryzen 5 3500U is a great processor for the home and office computing duties, with ability to easily run multiple apps simultaneously. It can also handle very well some more demanding stuff as well, such as video editing.

The benchmark results and specs show the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U competes directly against the Intel’s 8th Generation Core i5-8250U and i5-8265U. As expected, the 3500U is slightly faster than its Ryzen 5 2500U precursor with quite similar specs.

With its Radeon Vega 8 integrated graphics, the Ryzen 5 3500U can be a low-cost budget solution for gaming. For sure, it isn’t as nearly as fast as the dedicated video cards you can find in gaming laptops, but the Vega 8 can provide a very decent gaming experience in many of the popular titles.

Alongside the, 5 3500U AMD’s Ryzen 3000 U series includes the less used Ryzen 7 3700U, 3 3200U, and 3 3300U. The Ryzen 7 3700U is a slightly faster quad-core model with somewhat better Vega 10 integrated graphics. The Ryzen 3 3200U and 3 3300U with dual-core design and slower Vega 3 and Vega 6 integrated graphics are the lower-end parts of the series.
