Bitcoin Mining Setup on Braiins Pool ★

Figure out how to connect to Braiins Pool by following these steps:

1. Get suitable hardware

✓ Bitcoin can be efficiently mined with: ASIC (SHA-256 algorithm)

✘ Bitcoin cannot be efficiently mined with (unsupported): GPU, CPU, mobile phone

While mining with unsupported hardware might be possible, it will almost certainly be unprofitable. Also, keep in mind that our support team will not be resolving issues related to unsupported hardware.

2. Sign-up for a Braiins Pool account

You can use an existing account if you have one. A single account can be used to mine all supported cryptocurrencies.

  • Join the pool – sign-up and wait for the confirmation email.
  • Log into your account.

3. Configure your mining device

Individual hardware manufacturers may have specific settings requirements and different settings interfaces. Please follow their official documentation when setting up your miners. This also applies to cloud mining services.

Braiins OS+ is our per-chip autotuning firmware that optimizes the frequencies on every hashing chip to give you the maximum possible hashrate with a given power input. Visit Braiins OS+ website to learn more. What is Braiins OS+?

Your miner must be connected to one of our pool servers listed below. Remember to configure the user credentials to your account. The login credentials needed for your miner look like this (please change userName and workerName according to your account information):

URL: stratum+tcp://stratum.braiins.com:3333
userID: userName.workerName
password: anything

workerName is optional—it is fine if you do not provide any. In this case, our system will automatically create an auto worker for you. However, we recommend connecting each mining device with a separate workerName for efficient monitoring.

Braiins Pool servers are located all around the world. For better connection and lower latency, please use one of the location-specific URLs instead of the general URL.

Stratum V1 endpoints (servers and ports)

Configure your devices to start mining on Braiins Pool.

Set old slushpool.com addresses (in red) if you’re using BOS+ version older than 22.08.1 for successful application of 0% mining fee on Braiins Pool. Old addresses will work indefinitely. Set new braiins.com addresses otherwise.

Stratum V2 endpoints (servers and ports)

For Stratum V2 connection guide see V2 manual. You need to run our Braiins OS+ firmware which supports Stratum V2 (stock manufacturing firmware currently does not support this new protocol).

Example configuration

Let’s say there is a miner with username bigMiner and his worker is named strongDevice. Moreover, this miner specifically chose to be connected to the European servers. The configuration information for this miner would look like the following (configure accordingly):

URL: stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.braiins.com:3333
userID: bigMiner.strongDevice
password: anything123

4. Register your payout address

To collect your reward you have to set up a payout address in the Settings > selected coin > Payouts menu. Once you reach the minimum threshold, your rewards will be sent there. You can start mining even without this address being registered, but it is highly recommended that you register it straight away.

If you do not have an address yet, you need to get a wallet first. We recommend the Trezor Hardware Wallet for maximum security. Other usable wallets are listed on Bitcoin.org.

Alternatively, if you decide to buy Bitcoin instead of mining we recommend doing some research before you do so too.

5. Check if you are mining

Open your Dashboard on the Mining tab for the coin that you are mining. Then check your hash rate in the Recent Hash Rate graph section. Then check your hash rate in the Recent Hash Rate graph section below. Please be patient; it can take up to an hour until you see the full hashing power of your newly connected device. You can also look through our article How to check if I’m mining?
