Famous Elder Scrolls Mods Now Available on GOG For Free

GOG has recently listed two standalone mods for major The Elder Scrolls games on its website: Nehrim: At Fate’s Edge and Enderal: Forgotten Stories. Now, Elder Scrolls fans will be able to freely download from the store these two total conversion mods, which stand among the most impressive creations ever done by the community.

The Elder Scrolls series has a rich history of mods. Among all modders, however, the creators of Nehrin and Enderal were behind some of the most ambitious mods for Oblivion and Skyrim. SureAI, the German studio behind these non-commercial titles, started its activities back in 2003, releasing projects for Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3. During this time, it specialized in crafting new worlds and stories using the engine provided by Bethesda.

Today, GOG announced that Elder Scrolls players can claim both Nehrim and Enderal for free on its website. However, copies of both Oblivion and Skyrim are necessary to play these games, as they are not commercial titles. The two games are total conversion mods that completely recreate both games with new lore, story, graphics, and music. Essentially, it’s like playing a whole new title that was loosely based on Skyrim. Specifically, Enderal has been hailed for its quality by critics, and has over 11,000 reviews on Steam, with 94% of them being positive at the time of this report.

Also, GOG users who enjoy these highly rated TES mods will get the opportunity to claim Enderal: The Bard Songs and Enderal: The Shards of Order Soundtrack, which feature parts of the original soundtrack of the famous Skyrim total conversion mod. If they wish to support SureAI, it’s possible to purchase The Music of Vyn, a special title that compiles songs created by Marvin Kopp and Simon W. Autenrieth for the two mods.

Aside from these two games that will certainly please people who liked previous Elder Scrolls games, GOG is still offering another SureAI game: Mad Restaurant People. This is a commercial title from SureAI that comes with a free demo. In the puzzle title, the player acts as a server who works in a diner and needs to use their brain to face challenges and serve people as quickly as possible, building up their reputation. While fairly distinct as an action open-world RPG, this Indie puzzle game will certainly attract its audience.
