You can upload videos to Pinterest in 2023. Simply open your Pinterest account in your browser and click the plus sign to create a new pin. On the next screen, you are able to upload either a video or an image for your new Pinterest pin.

Step Three: Either drag and drop your video to upload your video to the pin creator or click the up arrow to upload your video file to the pin creator.
Step Four: Choose your cover image with the image slider below the video. You can also upload a separate file as a cover image for your video pin.
Step Five: You can also tag any of your products by clicking the tag icon on the left side of your video. Then, click the plus button to add a link to your product.
Step Six: Add your pin title and pin description in the fields on the right side of your video.
Step Seven: Add alt text to your video pin.
Step Eight: Add up to 10 tags to your pin.
Step Nine: Add a destination link to your video pin which could be a link to your website, blog, Etsy listing or YouTube video.
Step Ten: Choose to either publish immediately or publish at a later date.
Step Eleven: Finally, choose a board to save your pin to from your board list at the top right of the pin creator.

Pinterest takes anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to review and approve your video.
After Pinterest approves your video, your video pin will be automatically published either right away or at the time you had previously scheduled.
What are Idea Pins on Pinterest?
Idea pins are similar to regular pins in that they can be used to save and share ideas on Pinterest. However, Idea pins include an extra field to add tags to your idea pin in addition to your idea pin details. You are not able to add a destination URL to idea pins, but idea pins direct viewers back to your profile.
How to Create an Idea Pin:
- Open your Pinterest account in your browser.
- Click the “Create” button in the top-left toolbar and click “Create Idea Pin” from the drop-down menu.

- Add up to 20 pages (photos and videos) to your idea pin.
- “Add Text” to your video. You can change the font, font size, alignment, and color.

- “Add the Basics” including your pin title, choosing a board to pin to, and adding your 10 related tag topics.
