iPhone 8 Plus vs iPhone 11 Comparison—What’s the Difference?
Should you buy the iPhone 8 Plus or 11?
Not sure if you should buy an iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone 11? Even though the iPhone 8 Plus may be much cheaper than the iPhone 11, if you look at the specs, you can see why.
iPhone 8 Plus vs 11: Cost vs performance
The iPhone 11 is 2 years newer than the iPhone 8 Plus, and this may not sound like much, but in terms of smartphone hardware, that’s actually a huge chunk of time. Since the iPhone 11 has an A13 Bionic chip, you can expect it to be at least twice as fast when multitasking, browsing, installing apps, gaming, and just about anything else. And yes, when you compare the cost of a refurbished iPhone 11 vs 8 Plus, you’ll notice that an 8 Plus would be much cheaper, but unless you’re specifically looking for a short-term smartphone to just last for a little while, we’d definitely suggest going for the iPhone 11. Since it has a newer chip, you can also expect it to get developer support for much longer than the 8 Plus. To be honest, the iPhone 11 will probably be receiving the newest Apple software updates until 2024. At the time of writing this, the iPhone 8 Plus is still receiving software updates, but we’d be surprised if it was still getting the newest version of iOS in 2022.
Other big differences between the iPhone 8 Plus vs 11; Which one should you choose?
Are there any other big differences between the iPhone 11 vs iPhone 8 Plus? Let’s be frank: everything about the iPhone 11 is better. You’re going to be getting much better photography performance (color reproduction, shadow detail, etc), more zoom functionality (thanks to the additional lens on the rear of the device), a larger display (6.1” vs 5.5”), and longer battery life (thanks to a more efficient processor, and more battery capacity). But maybe you found the perfect deal on a refurbished iPhone 8 Plus. Let’s say that it’s $300 cheaper than the best offer that you can find for the iPhone 11, and you kinda miss the retro styling of older iPhones. We totally understand that. Therefore, whether you choose to buy the iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone 11 is really a matter of personal preference and how much you’re willing to spend.
