Luxoft joins the Eclipse Foundation to help accelerate the software-defined vehicle revolution

December 12 — Luxoft announced today that it’s now a contributing member of the Eclipse Foundation and the Eclipse Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) working group, as well as being a part of the Eclipse General Assembly. Through this membership, Luxoft will bring its expertise to advance the automotive-grade open technology platform for the global automotive industry.

As a full-service technology partner providing strategic advice, solution design, and delivery excellence, Luxoft is in a distinctive position to help automakers lead the software-defined vehicle race. Luxoft joining Eclipse SDV means members can now benefit from the software company’s extensive knowledge and expertise in automotive.

Luxoft’s experts bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge that will contribute to and promote open-source software, specifications, and open collaboration models. For example, Luxoft’s knowledge of in-vehicle software, in collaboration with the other Eclipse community members, will help accelerate the transformation of the automotive industry to software-defined vehicles by introducing open standards and reducing the diversity of conflicting approaches.

Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation, said, “I’m delighted to welcome Luxoft to the Eclipse community. Luxoft’s deep domain expertise and automotive experience will help us accelerate the industry transformation to software-defined vehicles.”

Luz G. Mauch, Executive Vice President of Luxoft Automotive, said, “Luxoft has constantly demonstrated the revolutionary approach in creating leading solutions for the automotive industry through a focus on business-driven innovation. As a result, we are confident that we have a strong contribution to make to the Eclipse Software-Defined Vehicle working group community.”
