Siemens PLM Software Consulting
The Simcenter Engineering and Consulting model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach optimizes the mechanics, electronics, and software as an integrated system. It helps manufacturers respond to key industry challenges and develop best-in-class mechatronic solutions.
The Simcenter team of experts provides systems engineering consulting services for modeling and simulation of dynamic systems such as vehicle dynamics, engine coolant systems, hydraulic valve actuation, robots, and battery packs. These models are used for activities such as trade-off analysis, control algorithm design, and closed-loop embedded software testing on a real-time platform. A structured design and development process is followed where the requirements, specifications, test procedures, and results are traced and documented. The resulting model’s quality is captured in a tangible fashion depending on the availability of physical system data to correlate the behavior of the model.
MATLAB®, Simulink®, and Stateflow® are used to build the control system models. The physical system models are developed using Simcenter Amesim which interfaces seamlessly with controller models in Simulink. Closed-loop test harnesses are created to validate the control systems as models in MIL and as software in SIL. Verification and validation engineering services provide the ability to set up and execute tests on HIL hardware platforms.
