In Viet Nam, everyone are celebrate Tet to mark the first day of new year on Lunar
We would like to focus on:
People go to visit relatives
People go to pagodas and some games
Tet
People clean and decorate their house
The last day of year
They clean and incense at the ancestral graves
The new year eve
Once upon a time people wait the new year eve at home with family. They eat new year meal together
The new year eve
Now, they have more activities in the new year eve like: see firework, watching (Táo Quân on)TV… together
Clothes people wear on Tet holiday
Ao Dai is always choosed to dress during Tet, because Ao Dai is a Vietnamese national costume.
Besides, Vietnamese wear colorful dress or vest
Tet is a meaningful occasion.
On Tet holiday Vietnemese adults usually give children red envelops containing money inside. This set of gift is called “lucky money” delivered to kids in order to bring them luck in a new year.
People sometimes give their parents and the elderly “lucky money” in the hope of wishing them health, success as well as happiness.
People go to pagoda in new year
They usually pray for health, happyness, goodluck during the year
