TruView/JetStream

Integrate point clouds directly into your CAD system workflows

Leica TruView, previously branded as Jetstream, is the industry leader for easily and intuitively sharing point cloud data, design models, mark-ups, and more. Leica TruView products are a smart way for anyone in your project ecosystem to access, view, analyze and collaborate using digital reality data.

TruView is one of Leica’s software tools for working with 3D laser scan data. It allows users to work with large datasets much more efficiently by minimizing performance lag and streamlining the process.TruView works by compressing point cloud data with minimal data loss, making it more manageable within CAD/BIM programs.

Alternatively, Existing Conditions’ Virtual Site Visits platform is an easy and low cost way to access spatial data of your building or project, regardless of your operating system or hardware. You can use the platform on any desktop, tablet, or mobile device – all you need is an internet connection.

How to install and make the most of TruView

If the project folder contains a “JetStream” or “TruView” folder, then continue reading for how to download and use the JetStream software and files.

The TruView/JetStream file formats are either LGS or JSV. This data contains the 3D Panoramic view of the scan data for each scanner location. You will need to use either the JetStream Portable (no installation required) or the full JetStream Install to view the LGS or JSV files.

You may download the JSV or LGS version of TruView/JetStream software from this secure link.

Option 1 – JetStream Portable is a viewer that does not need to be installed and can be placed on a USB stick or drive and transferred with the LGS or JSV data.

Option 2 – JetStream Install is a standard Windows software that can be installed and run to view the LGS or JSV data. (This is the recommended option) This zip file also contains a PDF with instructions on how to use the viewer.
